My Baptism

I made the decision to get myself baptized at our church two weeks ago and it was the most amazing experience of my life (with the exception of the birth of my three children. Although, this was a lot less painful!) I'm posting the video to share because it was an important step in my Spiritual Walk and to encourage anyone who has never done it. Being rasied Catholic, this was a huge step for me because no one in my family could understand why I needed to do this, for they took care of this FOR ME when I was an infant. I explained that this was MY choice and my decision to publicly proclaim Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savoir and I made that decision.. nobody made it for me. Needless to say, my family has commented on how they have never seen me look so relaxed and theres a light about me that they have NEVER seen. Praise God and Thank You Jesus. I came out of the water and felt like an entirely new person and closer than ever to God. God is so Good.

Praise God! I am thrilled for you. You are right, some cannot understand how infant baptism is not the same as when you choose to be obedient to God. Frankly, I was so glad when I was baptized, for it did clean off a lot of muck, and I sure needed that. Sometimes I wonder that more do not take all the gifts that God offers in the Bible, including baptism. How are you doing? We had our first women's Bible study yesterday, and now I am doing the week's work so that I can lead the small group. They have asked me at some point to share my testimony. God is good.

@wondering04 - Thanks Heather. The Baptism was just so awesome and I am a new person. I'm okay. Been busy with the kids and all their activities and being the taxi cab around here. Sounds like you are keeping busy as well. Thats awesome about the bible study group. Your testimony is very powerful and I'm sure it will inspire others that God is a true healer of hearts. I am still planning to come to a Friday bible study .. maybe next week. This friday my kids get off early from school, so it won't work out.
